Farr Engineers has developed the most economical responses to the latest requirements by government to improve the storm water quality and quantity discharge from new site developments. 

This is carried out using the developed experience from addressing the issues on many projects and utilising up to date software to refine and reduce the costs impacts of the regulatory requirements on projects. Incorporating the water sensitive urban design principle into the fabric of developments without significant cost impact, requires skill and experience gained from many successful outcomes.

Detail Civil design and documentation are carried out by one of our experienced design engineers and/or our Civil Designers. Drainage Quantity design is carried out using the DRAINS or 12D software, which allows complex modelling of detention both on-pavement and in tanks or pondages, in order to meet the demands of Councils to avoid increases in post-development flows off site.

Additionally, this optimizes pipe sizes to ensure that drainage systems are the most inexpensive as possible. Stormwater Quality Design is based on the design concepts as outlined in the SEQ Healthy Waterways Technical Guidelines and we use the Monash University MUSIC Quality Analysis program to ensure compliance with Council Quality Guidelines are always met.
